Automation Technician

About the role

The Automation Technician will manage, maintain, troubleshoot and operate automated assembly equipment in a high‑speed production environment. The role supports manufacturing and automation engineers and involves drafting design drawings and providing end‑user training.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in equipment design, fabrication, build and testing across mechanical, electronics, electrical and software domains.
• Collaborate with internal or external manufacturers on assembly of designed equipment.
• Support design engineers by drafting drawings, preparing documentation and developing user manuals.
• Conduct equipment installation and deliver end‑user training.
• Log all engineering time in the project tracking system.
• Train new employees as required.

Required profile

• Thorough knowledge of mechanical, electronics, electrical and software application engineering.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and healthcare industries.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Three‑year technical degree in Mechanical or Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
• 4‑7 years of experience in automation equipment assembly and installation, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
