About the role

PLIVA Croatia is looking for a Senior Scientific Associate – Analyst to lead the development and validation of analytical methods for pharmaceutical products. The role combines method development, regulatory documentation, and cross‑functional project support in a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop analytical methods using Quality by Design (QbD) and Design of Experiments (DoE) for active substances, excipients and finished products.
• Apply advanced techniques (GC, LC, LC‑MS) for characterization and support formulation and process optimization.
• Manage the full lifecycle of analytical documentation in line with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare analytical sections for regulatory submissions and respond to authorities.
• Transfer analytical methods between development, manufacturing and external sites.
• Participate in CAPEX planning for laboratory equipment and infrastructure.
• Solve complex technical challenges and propose innovative solutions.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary project teams, providing expert analytical support.

Required profile

• University degree (minimum 300 ECTS) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy or related natural sciences.
• Preferably at least 10 years of experience in an analytical laboratory.
• Knowledge of peptide, oligonucleotide or monoclonal antibody analytics is a plus.
• Strong understanding of GMP requirements and regulatory environments.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented attitude with strong communication skills.
