Supply Chain Quality Manager

About the role

The Supply Chain Quality Manager will lead quality initiatives across the supplier network, ensuring that components and services meet Voith Group’s high standards. You will act as the primary quality liaison between cross‑functional teams and suppliers, driving continuous improvement and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Supply Chain Quality (SCQ) requirements for supplier selection, qualification, approval and performance management.
• Manage supplier non‑conformances, conduct root‑cause analysis (5 Why, Fishbone, FTA) and drive corrective actions using structured problem‑solving methods such as 8D.
• Plan, conduct and follow up supplier audits, inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests, ensuring compliance with ITP and EN 10204.
• Support strategic supplier development, digitalisation and Lean initiatives to optimise cost, operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of supplier quality experience in heavy machinery, industrial equipment or technology sectors.
• Internal and Supplier Auditor qualification (ISO 19011); Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001) is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 30 % across Europe and other regions.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of turbine, generator, transformer, switchgear, compressor, valve, servomotor, pump and piping assemblies.
• Expertise in inspection methods: electrical, dimensional, non‑destructive testing (NDT) and manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, machining, welding and coating.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint and database‑based tracking systems; SAP knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, fluent English communication.
