Senior IT Business Analyst (m/f)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to join our banking technology team in Zagreb. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and IT, translating complex banking needs into clear, actionable requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business objectives and processes into structured IT requirements.
• Analyze changes affecting banking applications, including core banking system capabilities.
• Clarify ambiguous business problems with stakeholders and define required changes.
• Identify gaps in existing processes, assess impact of proposed changes, and prepare comprehensive business and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with development teams and IT architects to design solutions aligned with business needs and architectural direction.
• Assess feasibility, costs, benefits, and overall business rationale of proposed solutions.
• Identify dependencies and risks, support solution validation and testing, and maintain high‑quality documentation.
• Mentor junior Business Analysts and promote best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT, banking, or business analysis.
• Strong analytical ability to turn business needs into structured requirements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile ways of working.
• Ability to quickly grasp banking products, processes, and systems.
• Fluent English and a university degree in IT, a technical field, business, or equivalent experience.
