Freelance Lead Auditor – ISO 27001, 20000‑1 & 22301 (Croatia)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Auditor to join our team on a freelance, call‑based engagement for audit activities in Croatia. The role involves leading internal and external audit campaigns across information security, IT service management and business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design and execute audit programs aligned with ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 20000‑1 and ISO 22301.
• Lead audit teams, coordinate activities and ensure consistent audit methodology and quality.
• Assess compliance, identify non‑conformities and improvement opportunities, and prepare detailed audit reports.
• Communicate audit scope, timelines and results to stakeholders and maintain audit records and evidence.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies.

Required profile

• Valid Lead Auditor certification for ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 20000‑1 or ISO 22301.
• Minimum 5 years of professional auditing experience in certified standards.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); additional languages a plus.
• Flexible availability to work on a call‑basis and travel within Croatia.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, 20000‑1 and/or 22301 requirements.
• Audit planning, sampling, evidence‑gathering and root‑cause analysis.
• Audit reporting, metrics analysis and corrective‑action follow‑up.
• Proficiency with audit management tools and documentation systems.
