Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Autodesk is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead reliability automation projects for its cloud services. You will combine software engineering with production operations to build automation, tooling, and platform capabilities that improve service reliability, scalability, and operability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain shared automation, tooling and platform services that enhance reliability and performance of production systems.
• Partner with engineering teams to understand operational pain points and drive adoption of automation solutions.
• Automate incident response workflows, diagnostics, runbook execution and self‑healing mechanisms.
• Own on‑call rotation for automation and platform services, ensuring availability and rapid remediation.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, SRE or platform engineering.
• Strong ability to scope ambiguous problems, drive projects end‑to‑end and work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Programming languages: Python, Go, Java.
• Public cloud platforms: AWS, Azure.
• Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Containers, Kubernetes and cloud‑native architectures.
• Observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, CloudWatch.
• Incident management platforms like PagerDuty, FireHydrant, incident.io.
