Food Technologist – Quality and Safety Assurance

About the role

You will support department managers and staff on all matters related to food quality and safety. While part of the job involves documentation and administrative records, most of your time will be spent on the production floor monitoring processes against defined standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with internal standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Maintain HACCP records, oversee hygiene of personnel and production areas, and develop internal procedures and work instructions.
• Control quality of raw materials and packaging, ensuring traceability and compliance with specifications.
• Update production documentation, including HACCP studies, declarations, and norms.
• Participate in new product development and act as a liaison between production and retail during market launch.
• Train employees on food safety and quality, and coordinate laboratory analyses.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in food quality and safety.
• Degree in Food Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Proactive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work across departments.
• Attention to detail and precision in maintaining high standards.
