About the role

We are looking for an Accounting and Controlling Officer to join our dynamic team in Zagreb. The role involves handling day‑to‑day bookkeeping, preparing financial statements and supporting the finance manager with various reporting tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Verify and post incoming and outgoing invoices.
• Enter bank statements and reconcile accounts.
• Post monthly calculations such as depreciation and payroll.
• Perform accounting calculations and control their accuracy.
• Prepare VAT returns (PDV, PDV‑S, PDV‑ZP).
• Calculate payroll and related contributions.
• Produce internal accounting and financial reports.
• Carry out additional tasks as directed by the department head.

Required profile

• Completed university degree or secondary school (economics preferred).
• Minimum two years of experience in accounting.
• Strong attention to detail, precision and responsibility.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Excel.
• Familiarity with Pantheon accounting software (advantageous, not mandatory).
