Controller (Finance) – South Europe

About the role

The Controller will report to the Head of Industrial Controlling for South Europe and work within an international team of seven colleagues. The role translates production processes into financial indicators and ensures reliable reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret production flows and convert them into financial metrics.
• Explain financial impacts to operational teams and drive performance optimisation.
• Ensure timely and compliant local and group reporting.
• Analyse variances against budget, forecasts and prior year.
• Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in close cooperation with the plant.
• Analyse capacity utilisation, productivity and cost variations.
• Monitor inventory levels, turnover speed and identify obsolescence risks.
• Support engineering with financial modelling and investment profitability validation.
• Track investment performance, budget execution and post‑investment reviews.
• Apply group internal‑control procedures, conduct on‑site audits and manage action plans.

Required profile

• University degree in Economics or Engineering with a focus on management/business.
• Relevant work experience in a similar controlling position.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; autonomous and reliable.
• Fluent in Croatian and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Knowledge of Power Query, VBA and Business Intelligence tools (preferred).
• Familiarity with SAP (preferred).
