DeltaV Automation Engineer

About the role

Pfizer is seeking a DeltaV Automation Engineer to support and maintain manufacturing automation systems in a GMP pharmaceutical environment. The role involves working closely with Operations, Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure reliable batch production.

Key responsibilities

• Support and maintain manufacturing automation systems, including DeltaV configuration, testing and operational activities.
• Troubleshoot and modify batch applications, recipes and control strategies, and resolve automation, hardware and communication issues.
• Participate in commissioning, qualification, change control activities and contribute to continuous optimization initiatives.

Required profile

• BSc/MSc in electrical engineering, automation, computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with industrial DCS systems; DeltaV experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong understanding of batch automation concepts and ISA‑88 standards.
• Fluent English communication; Croatian preferred.

Required skills

• Industrial DCS platforms (DeltaV, Honeywell, Yokogawa, ABB, Siemens PCS7, etc.).
• Batch automation, ISA‑88, troubleshooting of automation applications and process control systems.
• Automation hardware, controllers, I/O systems, field instrumentation.
• Virtualized infrastructure basics.
• Industrial networking, switches, firewalls, network troubleshooting.
• Windows Server, Active Directory, domain administration.
• Industrial communication protocols: OPC, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, AS‑i.
