Automation Technician (m/f)

About the role

The Automation Technician will support the design, fabrication, testing and commissioning of automation equipment for Jabil's manufacturing operations in Osijek. Working closely with design engineers and equipment manufacturers, you will ensure that mechanical, electrical, electronic and software components are integrated correctly and that end‑users receive proper training.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the design, build and test of automation equipment across mechanical, electronics, electrical and software domains.
• Collaborate with internal and external manufacturers to assemble designed equipment.
• Assist design engineers in drafting design drawings and preparing user manuals.
• Install equipment at the plant and deliver training to end users.
• Log all engineering time in the project tracking system.
• Train new employees when required and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electronics, electrical and software application engineering.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and healthcare industry environments.
• Experience with automation equipment assembly and installation.
• Very good command of English.
• Willingness to work 12‑hour rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Technical degree (minimum three years) in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 4–7 years of experience in automation equipment assembly and installation, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
