About the role

The Faculty of Aspira in Split is looking for a motivated Assistant in the social sciences field, specializing in law. The role involves supporting the delivery of courses such as International Trade Law and Foundations of Law with Commercial Law, while contributing to the academic and research environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and coordinate teaching activities in accordance with the course programme, learning outcomes and institutional standards.
• Prepare, update and publish teaching materials; maintain records of attendance, examinations and grades in the college’s systems.
• Communicate professionally with students, study programme coordinators and fellow teaching staff via official channels.
• Monitor student progress, administer assessments and provide academic support.
• Engage in scholarly work, including publishing articles, participating in research projects, conferences and professional development activities.
• Involve students in college initiatives such as projects, workshops, clubs, sports and other extracurricular events.
• Propose the inclusion of eminent experts into the teaching programme and suggest measures to improve student experience.

Required profile

• Academic background in law or a closely related field.
• Ability to deliver lectures and manage classroom activities.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Preference for candidates with prior teaching experience and a record of scientific or professional publications.
