Network Engineer – Monitoring, Security & Troubleshooting

About the role

Arthrex is looking for a proactive Network Engineer to join its growing IT team in Zagreb. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the company’s network infrastructure while supporting global expansion projects.

Key responsibilities

• Network Monitoring: Proactively monitor network performance using various tools and systems to identify potential issues or anomalies.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network‑related problems, including hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Incident Management: Respond to network incidents and projects in a timely and efficient manner, following established procedures and escalating when necessary.
• Security: Implement and maintain security measures to protect the network from unauthorized access and threats.
• Documentation: Create and maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Network and other IT teams to coordinate network changes, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Hands‑On Deployment: Participate in domestic or international travel for racking, stacking, installation, or replacement of network devices as part of Arthrex’s global footprint.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is desirable.
• Understanding of network protocols, topologies, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, wireless networks).
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as Logic Monitor or SolarWinds.
• Knowledge of network security best practices and tools (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection systems).
• Entry‑level IT networking, cloud or scripting certification preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills.
