About the role

The company seeks a Head of Accounting and Finance to lead and supervise all accounting and financial activities of the gas distribution system operator. You will ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and support strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Organise, lead and monitor the entire accounting and financial operations of the gas distribution system operator (ODS).
• Prepare regulatory financial reports according to the Croatian Energy Regulatory Agency (HERA) requirements.
• Manage GAMA.web and Gama.android systems in line with HROTE system specifications.
• Produce statutory monthly, quarterly and annual financial, statistical and tax reports (HSFI/MSFI).
• Compile final accounts and calculate corporate income tax, VAT and other statutory contributions.
• Track and calculate specific energy‑sector fees such as distribution charges and non‑standard services.
• Coordinate with tax authorities, HERA, auditors, banks and the Ministry of Economy.
• Monitor and apply changes in tax legislation, accounting standards and energy law.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of Croatian accounting and tax regulations and of accounting for regulated activities.
• Experience preparing reports for HERA and determining tariff items for gas distribution.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office, especially expert‑level Excel.
• Strong analytical ability, precision, independent decision‑making and proven leadership skills.
