About the role

The Technologist in Pig Farming will oversee animal nutrition, health monitoring, and reproductive management on a commercial swine farm. The role focuses on achieving optimal growth rates and production results while ensuring compliance with hygiene, bio‑security, and animal welfare regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise feeding programs to maximize growth and productivity.
• Monitor animal health and coordinate with the veterinarian for preventive and therapeutic actions.
• Participate in reproductive planning, including breeding, farrowing, and piglet rearing.
• Analyze production indicators and propose improvements in work organization and breeding technology.
• Maintain records and ensure farm operations comply with relevant regulations (hygiene, bio‑security, animal welfare).

Required profile

• Higher education in agriculture (preferably animal science or zootechnics).
• At least three years of experience in similar positions.
• Computer literacy.
• Responsible, independent, and eager to learn.
