Cluster Manager – Environmental Testing

About the role

The Cluster Manager – Environmental Testing leads the strategic, operational and technical management of Eurofins' environmental testing business line in Croatia, ensuring high‑quality services and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily laboratory operations for water, wastewater, soil, sediment and environmental monitoring.
• Plan resources, manage capacity and optimise workflow to meet KPIs.
• Lead investments in equipment, technology and infrastructure.
• Ensure timely delivery of analytical results and reports.

Required profile

• University degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, Agronomy or related natural sciences.
• 7‑10+ years experience in environmental testing labs and 2‑5+ years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in water testing, soil and sediment analysis and environmental chemistry.
• Business‑fluent English and Croatian.

• Water testing (drinking water, wastewater, groundwater).
• Soil and sediment analysis.
• Environmental chemistry.
• ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation knowledge.
• Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Quality Management Systems.
• Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
• Croatian environmental legislation.
• EU directives: Water Framework, Industrial Emissions, Waste Framework, REACH.
