About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Technician (male/female) to join our team in Motovun and support the health and productivity of our valuable pig herd.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily health status of pigs and identify disease symptoms.
• Administer prescribed therapies and medications under veterinary supervision.
• Assist the veterinarian during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Perform artificial insemination of sows.
• Conduct ultrasound examinations to diagnose pregnancy and track reproductive cycles.
• Maintain accurate records of health, treatment, and reproduction.
• Follow strict biosafety and hygiene protocols on the farm.
• Ensure overall welfare of all pig categories.
• Collaborate with farm staff and external experts.

Required profile

• Secondary or higher vocational education in veterinary studies.
• Experience working with animals, preferably on pig farms.
• Knowledge of artificial insemination techniques.
• Ability to perform ultrasound examinations.
• Responsible, meticulous, and passionate about animal care.
• Capable of working independently and within a team.
• Good communication skills.
