Tax Assistant

About the role

EY is looking for a Tax Assistant (m/f) in Zagreb to support its growing tax team and help clients in tax projects across different industry sectors. The role offers exposure to a broad range of tax disciplines and business skills, with mentoring and formal learning opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out technical research into areas of tax legislation
• Conduct commercial research on new clients
• Attend and take notes of client meetings and calls
• Manage an allocated portfolio of work under supervision
• Learn to advise on personal and corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, transfer pricing, corporate payroll, tax compliance, bookkeeping and statutory reporting
• Communicate orally and in writing with clients on a day-to-day basis
• Follow workplace policies and procedures

Required profile

• University degree
• 1-3 years of relevant experience is an advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Croatian and English
• Ideally: strong ambition and priorities focused on professional achievement
• A genuine passion for tax and teamwork spirit

Required skills

• Good knowledge of MS Word and Excel
• Croatian and English
