Accounting Assistant (m/f)

About the role

EY Tax is looking for an Accounting Assistant in its Global Compliance and Reporting team in Zagreb. The role supports the growing tax team and helps clients with tax projects across different industry sectors, offering exposure to a broad range of engagements, mentoring and formal learning.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices for postings in the general ledger
• Process weekly pay cycles and postings of bank statements
• Manage relationships with internal and external clients and vendors, and coordinate reconciliations
• Assist in preparing management and statutory reports
• Assist in the regular annual statutory audit
• Attend and take notes of client meetings and calls
• Manage an allocated portfolio of work under supervision
• Communicate orally and in writing with clients on a day-to-day basis
• Follow workplace policies and procedures

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in economics (Accounting, Managerial Informatics or Analysis and Business Planning)
• 1-3 years of relevant work experience, including student work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Croatian and English
• Organized and result-oriented, able to deliver high-quality, accurate service

Required skills

• Good knowledge of MS Word and Excel
