About the role

We are seeking a motivated Finance and Accounting Assistant to join our finance department in Zagreb. The position can be filled at a junior or senior level depending on the candidate’s expertise and years of experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process domestic, cross‑border and international payments and monitor business account balances.
• Control, code and post invoices.
• Calculate and post payroll and employee allowances.
• Compute depreciation and record it.
• Enter exchange‑rate tables.
• Maintain records of fixed assets and small inventory.
• Update shared data, add new partners and verify VAT numbers for EU and other countries.
• Deliver IOS statements and reconcile open items with clients and suppliers.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Higher education in economics, finance or accounting.
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Active command of English (spoken and written).
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365/Office, especially Excel.
• Independent, precise and responsible attitude.
