About the role
Jungheinrich, with over 30 years of experience in software and digital products, is looking for a Development Engineer in Electrical Engineering to join its global power electronics development team. You will contribute to the design and evolution of traction charging systems and powertrain solutions, supporting projects across new development and serial support.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement complex control algorithms in MATLAB/Simulink for electrical machines such as asynchronous, synchronous and reluctance machines
- Simulate, analyse and optimise control strategies in a virtual environment
- Use Embedded Coder or Simulink Coder to turn graphical models into efficient C/C++ code for ECUs, mainly for power inverters
- Develop software applications in C/C++ under real-time constraints and functional safety requirements
- Support software integration, testing, commissioning and ramp-up to series production
- Work closely with development teams at international sites
Required profile
- Several years of experience creating and simulating control algorithms for electrical machines with MATLAB/Simulink
- Strong experience with embedded C/C++ in real-time systems and with microcontrollers such as Infineon AURIX or NXP
- University degree in control engineering, automation technology, software engineering or a comparable field
- Fluent English; German is an advantage but not mandatory
Required skills
- Embedded C/C++ and microcontroller programming
- MATLAB/Simulink
- Knowledge of AUTOSAR/MICROSAR is desirable
- Experience in safety-relevant environments according to applicable standards
- Understanding of the interaction between mechanics, hydraulics, power electronics and software
