About the role

Privredna banka Zagreb is looking for a System Engineer to join its Central System Infrastructure team in Zagreb. You will work on maintaining and evolving a high‑performance Unix/Linux environment that supports the bank’s critical software services.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain system infrastructure based on Unix and Linux operating systems.
• Optimize IT infrastructure performance, monitor capacity and ensure service reliability.
• Provide system‑level support to development and implementation of software products and services.
• Research and introduce new technological solutions while improving existing ones.
• Participate in large‑scale, challenging international projects.

Required profile

• Completed technical degree (e.g., FER, FOI, TVZ, Algebra or similar).
• Fluent English – both spoken and written.
• Previous experience with complex, high‑availability infrastructure systems.
• Innovative, resourceful and quick learner.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting.
• Experience with Python programming.
