Senior Accountant - Accounting & Reporting

About the role

Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist to join its Finance team in Zagreb. The role is the trusted partner and right hand of the Finance Manager, owning the accounting and reporting agenda for the local entity and ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely delivery of financial information. It covers month-end and year-end close, reporting, audit support, process improvement and stakeholder coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Own and coordinate month-end and year-end close, review reconciliations, accruals and provisions, and prepare and review complex accounting entries
• Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate and compliant under IFRS and local GAAP, and review the Balance Sheet for risks
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages, analyse financial performance and explain key variances
• Support cash flow forecasting and monitor forecast accuracy
• Lead the annual external audit, ensure audit readiness, support statutory reporting and tax compliance, and strengthen accounting controls
• Drive automation, standardisation and ERP improvement initiatives, and improve visibility of accounting topics
• Partner with local Operations, Commercial and Finance teams, HQ and regional stakeholders, and guide junior team members

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience in a multinational environment
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing and supporting or leading external audits
• Nice to have: forecasting and management reporting experience, SAP or Wand ERP experience, high-volume transaction experience, process improvement or finance transformation exposure
