Risk and Safety Manager (m/f)

About the role

The Risk and Safety Manager will champion customer safety for Jet2holidays, overseeing risk and safety across a portfolio of hotels and accommodation providers. Working closely with internal teams and external suppliers, the role ensures that all safety standards are met and incidents are resolved efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary safety champion for Jet2holidays, managing a regional portfolio of hotels and accommodation.
• Support hoteliers and suppliers in addressing risk and safety concerns identified during inspections and after incidents.
• Collaborate with Contracting, Legal/Claims, Resorts, Transport, and Excursion teams to align safety processes.
• Assist the Risk & Safety Department and overseas teams with on‑sale processes, assessments, and incident case management.
• Conduct and manage excursion and activity risk assessments, following up on identified issues.
• Guide suppliers to remediate safety findings and verify corrective actions.
• Provide safety advice to overseas teams and ensure ongoing controls are implemented for all Jet2holidays suppliers.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of hotel risk and safety requirements.
• Previous tour operation experience (essential).
• Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma (highly desirable).
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Effective time‑management and solution‑oriented approach under pressure.
• Ability to make risk‑based decisions and drive positive outcomes.
• Full driving licence with willingness to travel overseas.

Required skills

• IT competency.
• Second language proficiency (advantageous).
