About the role

The Collections Referent is responsible for managing the full cycle of receivables and purchase fee collections, ensuring timely payments and maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor open and overdue receivables, maintaining aging reports.
  • Communicate actively with customers via email, phone and reminders to secure payments.
  • Track agreed payment deadlines, initiate actions on delays, and coordinate with Sales, Billing, Customer Service and Finance to resolve disputes.
  • Prepare and execute compensation of receivables and purchase‑fee obligations.
  • Post bank statements, record payments and reconcile them with open items.
  • Initiate forced collection procedures and cooperate with lawyers and external partners.
  • Monitor bankruptcies and pre‑bankruptcy proceedings of debtors.
  • Participate in valuation adjustments and write‑offs of receivables.
  • Prepare regular reports on collection performance, DSO, overdue amounts and risky customers.
  • Identify process improvements, propose automation and strengthen internal controls.
  • Manage financial instruments related to client guarantees.

Required profile

  • At least 1 year of experience in administrative or financial tasks.
  • Good understanding of accounting, finance and receivables collection processes.
  • Strong analytical abilities, high precision and attention to detail.
  • Experience with ERP or other business systems is desirable.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
  • Proficient spoken and written English.
  • Educational background: secondary school, higher education or university degree.
