About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accounting Referent / Independent Bookkeeper to join our Zagreb office. You will be responsible for handling the full spectrum of accounting activities for our growing client base, ensuring compliance with Croatian tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Record all business transactions, including incoming and outgoing invoices and bank statements.
• Calculate and file VAT returns.
• Post entries to the general ledger and reconcile with analytical records.
• Match analytical data with tax cards (PKK).
• Prepare mandatory reports for government authorities.
• Continuously monitor and apply accounting regulations.
• Communicate with clients regarding accounting matters.

Required profile

• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Methodical, accurate, and thorough work style.
• Team spirit combined with the ability to work independently.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn and continuously improve.
