Product Quality Engineer (m/f)

About the role

Vertiv Croatia is looking for a Product Quality Engineer to join its team in Zagreb. The role supports the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System across the region and provides quality support to manufacturing sites and projects within the Business Unit InfraSol. It acts as a link between Plant Quality in EMEA, Project/Site Quality, Supplier Quality and central functions, supporting quality performance monitoring, RCA/CAPA governance, major escalations and the standardisation of quality processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and continuous improvement of quality processes and requirements across manufacturing sites and projects in the region.
• Coordinate and monitor Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), 8D and PDCA activities for major and recurring quality issues.
• Support investigation and management of major quality issues and escalations, coordinating Plant Quality, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Operations, Project Management and Site Quality.
• Monitor regional quality KPIs and performance trends, identify recurring or systemic issues and support improvement actions.
• Support standardisation and deployment of quality processes, procedures, tools, inspection approaches and best practices.
• Facilitate lessons learned and knowledge sharing between factories, projects and other functions.
• Support project and shipment readiness from a quality perspective, and support Quality Management Systems and digital quality tools (eQMS).
• Take part in regional quality reviews, report on major issues, improvement activities and quality risks, and support internal, customer and certification audits.
• Work closely with Plant Quality Managers, Project/Site Quality, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Operations and Project/Program Management, and carry out site and factory visits when needed.

Required profile

• University degree in Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
• 3 to 5 or more years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Project Quality or a similar technical role.
• Good understanding of Quality Management Systems and quality methodologies, and of manufacturing and project quality processes.
• Experience with RCA, CAPA, 8D, PDCA and problem-solving methodologies.
• Good English communication skills.
• Ability to analyse quality data, coordinate cross-functional teams across locations and manage multiple priorities and escalations.

Required skills

• Computer literacy, specifically MS Office.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems and reporting tools is an advantage.
