Procurement Specialist – CNC Machined Parts

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will manage the sourcing and purchasing of CNC‑machined components for PIA Automation, ensuring reliable supply from both domestic and international vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement of CNC‑machined parts and monitor order progress.
• Source and develop suppliers locally and abroad, reviewing technical drawings, specifications and RFQs.
• Negotiate prices, delivery terms and payment conditions.
• Coordinate procurement activities with PIA Group locations, especially Austria and China.
• Resolve supplier quality issues in cooperation with Production and Quality departments.
• Evaluate supplier performance and identify alternative sources.

Required profile

• Technical or economic education, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in procurement within manufacturing or metal‑processing.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC machining processes such as milling, turning and grinding.
• Fluent English; German is an advantage.
• Work permit sponsorship is not available.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Understanding of CNC machining processes (milling, turning, grinding).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
