About the role

We are looking for a responsible, technically skilled Food Engineer to lead our retail network of 37 stores in Zagreb and its surroundings. The role combines operational oversight, food safety compliance, and team leadership to ensure high service standards and product quality at every point of sale.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the retail network, conduct field visits, and monitor the performance of 37 outlets.
• Collaborate closely with regional managers and internal departments such as production, logistics, procurement, and HR.
• Ensure high service standards, product quality, and proper food handling in all stores.
• Implement hygiene standards and guarantee compliance with legal food‑safety regulations.
• Lead, train, and organise store staff, addressing operational challenges promptly.
• Communicate with inspection authorities (sanitary, veterinary, etc.) and maintain complete documentation.
• Participate actively in planning, opening new stores and improving existing locations.

Required profile

• University degree in Food Engineering, Biotechnology or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in supervisory or managerial positions within the food industry, preferably in retail chains.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP systems and food‑safety legislation.
• Proven leadership and organisational abilities, capable of managing large teams.
• Willingness to travel daily across Zagreb and surrounding areas.
• Valid B‑category driving licence and basic English proficiency.
