Node.js / PHP Software Developer

About the role

A growing company in Rijeka, Croatia is looking for a Node.js developer to design, develop and deploy high-performance backend systems and APIs for its core applications. The role is full time and hybrid, in an agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain efficient and reliable Node.js backend services and APIs.
• Integrate with MongoDB databases to store and retrieve data.
• Use Docker to containerize applications and deploy them across environments.
• Manage cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Azure or GCP to support deployment and scaling.
• Help automate build, test and deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
• Work with front-end developers to integrate APIs and deliver a good user experience.
• Take part in code reviews and improve code quality.

Required profile

• Science degree in an IT field.
• At least 3 years of experience in JavaScript.
• Good communication skills in English or German.
• Ability to take responsibility and handle tasks independently.
• Experience in agile environments.
