Mid-Senior Software Engineer, AI-Augmented Development

About the role

Juice is looking for a developer who sees AI as a tool that lets them focus on architecture and problem-solving while AI handles the boilerplate. The role is based in Rijeka, Croatia, on a full-time basis with a hybrid workspace.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable web applications with Angular and Node.js/PHP.
• Redefine development workflows by using AI agents and LLMs strategically.
• Review AI-generated code suggestions rigorously for quality and security.
• Manage system state, optimise performance and handle complex change detection in Angular.
• Design and maintain database schemas (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery).
• Mentor the team on new AI-augmented workflows and productivity tips.
• Own tasks from raw idea to production-ready code.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience, with solid engineering foundations from the pre-LLM era.
• Ability to spot AI hallucinations instantly and keep high code standards.
• Openness to rapid prototyping and iterative development with AI agents.

Required skills

• Angular and performance optimisation.
• Node.js (TypeScript) or PHP.
• Expert use of AI coding tools such as Claude or Copilot.
• PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery and basic cloud services (AWS/GCP).
