About the role

This position supports surgical teams by preparing operating rooms, handling instruments, and assisting physicians during procedures. The role also includes patient care in the outpatient clinic and basic laboratory tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare operating theatres, patients, instruments and materials for surgeries.
• Instrument handling and assistance during surgeries under local and general anesthesia.
• Clean, disinfect, sterilize instruments and ready the theatre after procedures.
• Prepare outpatient rooms and patients for examinations, consultations and minor interventions.
• Assist physicians in the clinic, perform dressing changes and post‑operative care.
• Collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory processing.
• Maintain medical documentation and patient database.
• Handle administrative tasks related to appointments, surgeries and consultations.
• Use computer programs (Office, MCS) for documentation and inventory management.
• Monitor and order medical supplies, verify deliveries and communicate with suppliers.

Required profile

• Qualified nurse or medical technician with a completed medical school program (SSS/VŠS).
• Valid license from the Croatian Chamber of Medical Professionals (HKM) for independent work.
• Relevant work experience in similar duties.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Proficiency with computers, especially MS Office.
