Lead Expert Finance Operations (m/f)

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Expert in Finance Operations to join our Zagreb team. The role will oversee the record‑to‑report process for multiple legal entities, ensuring accurate accruals, journal entries and compliance with accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record and analyse accruals, prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
• Support monthly and quarterly closing activities across several entities.
• Analyse account variances, obtain explanations and produce summarized monthly reports.
• Prepare and review account reconciliations and ensure alignment with financial reporting processes.
• Standardise finance processes, act as a key contact for local and global teams on record‑to‑report queries.
• Provide documentation and explanations for internal and external audits.
• Participate in ad‑hoc finance projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum three years of experience in accounting, auditing or a shared service centre.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley internal‑control concepts.
• Strong analytical abilities and proactive, results‑driven attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal English; additional language is a plus.
• Experience working in a multinational environment is preferred.

Required skills

• SAP or other ERP systems.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Understanding of Sarbanes‑Oxley Act requirements.
