About the role

We are looking for a self‑driven accountant to manage the full spectrum of financial operations for our company in Split. The role covers bookkeeping, tax compliance, payroll, financial reporting and strategic financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage complete bookkeeping, recording all business transactions such as invoices, bank statements, cash receipts and travel orders.
• Calculate and submit VAT returns and prepare VAT filings.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers and compute depreciation.
• Process payroll, fees and other employee earnings.
• Compute and file taxes, contributions and other statutory obligations.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss, cash‑flow).
• Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors and government agencies (Tax Administration, FINA, HZMO, HZZO) and submit required forms (JOPPD, etc.).
• Analyze business performance and support management in financial planning and decision‑making.
• Conduct financial and operational analyses to optimize performance.
• Produce profitability analyses, cost‑control reports and liquidity monitoring.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management for effective financial planning and strategic decisions.
• Prepare financial forecasts, scenario analyses and related reports.

Required profile

• Strong financial literacy and solid knowledge of financial regulations.
• Ability to supervise strategic allocation of financial resources.
• Experience handling full‑cycle financial management, from bookkeeping to forecasting.
• Understanding of EBITDA, cash‑flow management, revenue and expense forecasting, and cost of capital.
