About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Cook to join the kitchen team at Restaurant Tajer in Zagreb. You will work in a dynamic environment, preparing traditional dishes prepared in the Međimurje style for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare à la carte dishes and daily menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure high quality and attractive presentation of all plated meals.
• Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen work area.
• Assist with receiving, sorting, and storing food supplies in compliance with regulations.
• Follow and actively respect HACCP standards and internal procedures.
• Collaborate efficiently with the rest of the kitchen team and other restaurant departments.

Required profile

• Responsible and reliable attitude.
• Motivation to work in a fast‑paced kitchen.
• Willingness to work in shifts with one day off per week.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking techniques for traditional Croatian cuisine.
• Execution of à la carte dishes.
• HACCP compliance and food safety knowledge.
• Kitchen hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Handling of ingredient receiving, sorting, and storage.
