About the role

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the University of Zagreb is seeking an experienced IT Specialist to lead its Office for Information Technology and Infrastructure. This permanent, full‑time position offers the chance to shape the university’s IT strategy and support its research and teaching activities.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and manage the daily operations of the Office for IT and Infrastructure.
• Supervise staff, monitor task execution, and evaluate performance.
• Develop, coordinate and enforce internal IT policies, recommendations and user‑behaviour guidelines.
• Oversee the delivery of IT services and infrastructure projects.
• Participate in planning, development and maintenance of information systems.
• Propose improvements to the IT infrastructure and network security measures.
• Maintain the register of electronic certificates.
• Collaborate with business analysts to define processes and user requirements.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Dean or the Head of Infrastructure Services.

Required profile

• University degree (master’s or integrated bachelor‑master) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Minimum five years of experience in a comparable IT management role.
