HR & People Culture Manager

About the role

The HR & People & Culture Manager will lead the full employee lifecycle at MARBLE, from recruitment and onboarding to development, performance support and HR administration. This hands‑on position combines strategic planning with day‑to‑day execution in a project‑based, research‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, manage and continuously improve recruitment and selection processes, including job ads, candidate communication, interviews and assessments.
• Develop structured onboarding programmes covering pre‑boarding, first‑day activities, mentorship and 30/60/90‑day follow‑up.
• Oversee HR administration: contracts, annexes, personnel files, working time, absences, vacations and statutory records.
• Support hiring of foreign researchers, project managers and engineers, handling work and residence permits.
• Assist international employees with relocation, local administrative requirements and integration into Croatian workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with Croatian labour legislation, GDPR and internal reporting obligations.
• Draft, update and communicate HR policies, procedures and employee guidelines.
• Facilitate performance management, probation reviews, goal setting, feedback and development plans.
• Promote career development, training, mentoring, knowledge sharing and retention strategies.
• Contribute to compensation design, benefits, salary structures and pay transparency.
