Head Chef

About the role

The Head Chef leads the kitchen team, plans daily operations, ensures cleanliness, equipment functionality, and food quality, and collaborates closely with restaurant management.

Key responsibilities

• Plan the day's menu with the team and verify kitchen and storage cleanliness, equipment condition, and freshness of all ingredients.
• Check daily sales plan, prepare orders, and manage inventory.
• Oversee grill and block cooking during service, coordinate kitchen and waitstaff, and monitor every plate leaving the kitchen.
• Step in to assist with dishwashing when needed and hand over tasks to the deputy at shift end.
• Train staff on equipment use, recipe standards, and ensure they have necessary resources.

• Strong culinary knowledge combined with proven leadership and organisational skills.
• Ability to think strategically about improving kitchen efficiency and team performance.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards for food quality and employee satisfaction.
