About the role

We are looking for a friendly and organized professional to work at the front desk and call centre of a leading ophthalmology and orthopaedics clinic in Zagreb. The role combines reception duties with coordination and translation support for patients coming from German‑speaking countries.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome domestic and foreign patients at the reception, handle registration and initial documentation.
• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries and provide basic information about ophthalmology services.
• Manage daily email correspondence, maintain calendars and schedule appointments together with the medical team.
• Enter and update patient data in the clinic’s internal system.
• Provide telephone and email assistance in German for patients from Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
• Accompany and translate for foreign patients during specialist consultations, diagnostic examinations and surgical procedures.

Required profile

• Excellent spoken and written German (C1/C2); experience living or working in a German‑speaking environment is a strong advantage.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities, pleasant telephone voice.
• High level of empathy, warmth and professionalism, especially in the operating theatre.
• Ability to switch quickly between administrative tasks and direct patient interaction.
• Previous experience in reception, call centre or healthcare administration is a plus but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Advanced use of MS Office and email applications.
