Area Sales and Technical Support Manager (m/f)

About the role

TMD Friction, a leading global supplier of brake friction solutions for the automotive and brake industries, is expanding its team in the South-East Europe region and is looking for an Area Sales and Technical Support Manager based in Croatia. The role covers business development with distributors and garages, technical support and training, and sales reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, develop and grow business relationships with current and prospective customers
• Support the local distributor's sales structure in reaching annual turnover goals through analyses and product information
• Plan and carry out regular visits to local partners and their networks
• Organise and run training events for garage and distributor staff on products, technical aspects, brands and best practices
• Verify, adapt or create technical marketing materials and support partner marketing communication
• Educate distributors on assessing quality claims and warranty issues
• Conduct market research to identify new markets and customer needs
• Organise sales meetings and presentations, and take part in trade shows and technology events
• Train business developers and sales colleagues, and monitor sales development with monthly analysis and reports for management

Required profile

• Technical or economic university degree with a strong interest in the automotive industry
• Experience in the automotive aftermarket industry is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, good organisational skills
• Driving licence and willingness to travel
• Able to work from a home office

Required skills

• Proficiency in English, written and spoken
• Good knowledge of MS Office tools, mainly PowerPoint, Excel and Word
