Accounting Specialist

About the role

As an Accounting Specialist you will ensure the reliability of financial operations, improve internal processes and act as a trusted partner to business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records in compliance with HGB/IFRS and prepare for audit.
• Lead timely monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
• Own reconciliations, explain variances and resolve issues proactively.
• Map, document and upgrade accounting processes to increase efficiency and sustainability.
• Identify bottlenecks or risks and implement improvements that reduce manual work.
• Provide real‑time financial insights to support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
• Proactive mindset and passion for continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience in retail or fast‑paced environments is a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HGB/IFRS accounting standards.
• Financial reporting expertise.
• Internal controls and tax compliance understanding.
