Accountant

About the role

Tri Plus Grupa, a company focused on IoT and smart home systems and part of the publicly listed Smartrent group, is looking for an Accountant to join its team in Zagreb. The role covers day-to-day accounting, payroll support, VAT and reporting, and uses several Croatian e-government tax applications.

Key responsibilities

• Post bank statements, incoming and outgoing invoices
• Reconcile and control customer and supplier account balances
• Handle employee registration and deregistration, and calculate payroll, process other income and settle travel orders
• Prepare monthly VAT calculations and JOPPD forms
• Compile statistical reports and maintain records, including packaging reports submitted to the Environmental Protection Fund
• Create payment files and orders, and use e-Mirovinsko, e-Zdravstveno and e-Porezna applications
• Keep fixed asset records and calculate depreciation; knowledge of inventory, material accounting, imports and exports is an advantage
• Follow accounting regulations and perform other tasks within the scope of the position

Required profile

• High school diploma or higher; economic background is an advantage
• 3 years of experience in the same or similar roles
• Good command of English
• Accuracy, reliability and responsibility, with independence and proactiveness in problem solving
• Category B driver's licence

Required skills

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, and G-Suite (Sheets, Docs)
• Knowledge of accounting and tax regulations
• An advantage: experience with Luceed software
