Glovo, part of the Delivery Hero Group, is hiring an Accountant for its Finance team in Zagreb. The role sits within general accounting and controlling, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all ledgers. The company states it hires for attitude and potential.

Key responsibilities

• Own balance sheet reconciliations (customers, vendors, related parties, banks, tax authorities, etc.)
• Manage treasury forecasting, analyse variances and process payments
• Handle billing and invoicing, ensuring accuracy for customers and partners
• Review, process and control accounting documentation for completeness and correctness
• Partner with the Commercial team as their go-to person for finance insights and operational support
• Identify and drive process improvements to simplify, automate or enhance workflows
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc AR/AP, inventory and billing reports
• Communicate with HQ, regional and local stakeholders and support the rollout of new processes
• Support month-end and year-end closing and reconciliation, and cover other accounting and analytical tasks as needed

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in Accounting, Audit or Corporate Finance, ideally in a multinational environment
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS, and familiarity with statutory accounting and tax compliance
• Excellent command of English and the local language
• Self-driven, organised and deadline-oriented, able to prioritise

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (Wand/Business Central is a plus)
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets, comfortable with large datasets and reconciliations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
