Sushi Chef (m/f)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Sushi Chef to join our prestigious 5‑star hotel kitchen in Petrčane. You will be responsible for creating high‑quality sushi dishes while maintaining the aesthetic standards expected by our international guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present a variety of sushi items, including nigiri, sashimi, and maki rolls.
• Manage all aspects of sushi preparation, such as rice cooking, fish cutting, and ingredient sourcing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, complying with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi preparation techniques.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure fresh, high‑quality ingredients.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef in a high‑end restaurant or hotel.
• In‑depth knowledge of traditional Japanese cuisine and sushi techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
