Product Thermal Engineer – HVAC Design for Data Centers

About the role

Vertiv Croatia is seeking a Product Thermal Engineer to design and develop HVAC solutions for modular data centers and AI factories worldwide. You will work across the product lifecycle, from concept through commissioning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑performance thermal designs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop thermal and HVAC concepts, standards, and detailed designs for modular data centers and AI factories.
• Create HVAC system layouts, cooling and ventilation calculations, CFD analyses, functional diagrams, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Support product and project development from concept design through detailed engineering, construction support, and commissioning.
• Provide technical support to Pre‑Sales, Offering, Marketing, and engineering teams.
• Prepare HVAC documentation, material submittals, Bills of Materials (BOMs), equipment schedules, and project deliverables.
• Participate in project kick‑off meetings, design reviews, coordination meetings, and site activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Thermodynamics, HVAC, or Thermal Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in thermal engineering, HVAC system design, or related mechanical engineering disciplines.
• Fluent English communication skills (minimum B2 level).
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
