Mechanical Design Engineer – Automotive Focus

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and draft system components, machines and devices primarily for the automotive industry. The role involves close collaboration with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and drafting of system components, machines and devices for various industries, mainly automotive.
• Prepare requirement specifications and review customer specifications.
• Communicate and coordinate with customers, suppliers and internal departments.
• Obtain internal and external approvals for mechanical designs.
• Provide assembly support during commissioning.
• Document all project activities related to mechanical design.
• Plan layouts and create floor plans.

Required profile

• Technical education in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in machine building.
• Experience in project execution.
• Very good knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Solution‑oriented mindset, creativity and flexibility.
• Good command of Croatian and solid English skills (German is a plus).
• Work permit sponsorship is not available.
