About the role

We are looking for an experienced Tax Department Manager to lead the tax function across the Group, based in Zagreb. The role combines strategic tax planning, risk management and team leadership to ensure compliant and efficient tax operations.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and coordinate the work of the Tax Department.
• Develop group‑wide tax strategy and procedures.
• Plan and structure status changes, significant and cross‑border transactions.
• Advise on corporate tax, VAT and other tax matters.
• Conduct deep tax audits and analyses.
• Identify tax risks and define mitigation activities.
• Monitor legislative changes and support their implementation.
• Provide expert support during tax inspections.
• Prepare internal tax reporting.
• Oversee margin calculations and produce transfer‑pricing documentation.
• Collaborate with boards and expert functions of Group companies.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of tax consulting experience, especially corporate tax, VAT and transfer pricing.
• Proven experience leading a team and handling complex tax issues.
• In‑depth knowledge of national tax laws and regulations.
• Understanding of international tax rules, OECD guidelines, transfer‑pricing and BEPS initiatives.
• Ability to analyse financial data, identify tax risks and optimise tax positions.
• Familiarity with HSFI and/or MSFI and their link to tax reporting.
• Strong analytical, communication, organisational and leadership abilities.
• Good command of English.
