About the role

The company seeks a manager to lead the pharmaceutical energy and utility systems. The role ensures reliable operation of critical GMP utilities and supports continuous improvement in a regulated production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and maintain process and auxiliary pharmaceutical systems, including process HVAC, pharmaceutical water and steam, compressed air, nitrogen and other utilities.
• Guarantee reliable operation of GMP‑critical energy and utility systems.
• Record activities and monitor/report key system parameters.
• Carry out regular, preventive and investment maintenance.
• Participate in creating, revising and improving work instructions and ensure their practical application.
• Organise and coordinate preventive maintenance according to defined procedures.
• Control and document all preventive and corrective maintenance actions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and systems within the area of responsibility.
• Stay up‑to‑date with technical and regulatory requirements and pursue professional development.
• Transfer knowledge and educate employees, promoting a culture of safety, responsibility and collaboration.
• Implement and comply with occupational safety, environmental and fire‑protection regulations.

Required profile

• Higher technical education (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, energy or related fields).
• Experience in a GMP production environment for EU and US regulated markets.
• Knowledge of USP and Ph. Eur. requirements for utility systems.
• Experience with change management, deviations, CAPA activities and root‑cause analysis.
• Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance of production and technical systems.
• Experience preparing and participating in internal, EU and FDA audits.
• Ability to understand and apply technical documentation, procedures and work instructions.
• Experience recording, monitoring and reporting performed activities.
• Experience with automated monitoring and control systems is an advantage.
• Good computer skills (MS Office, Excel and technical software).
• Organised, responsible and analytical work approach.
• Proactive, motivated for continuous learning and development.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation.
• Experience leading or training staff is an advantage.
• Knowledge of occupational safety, environmental and fire‑protection regulations.
• Category B driving licence.
