About the role

The Croatian Financial Services Agency (HANFA) is seeking a Senior Consumer Protection Analyst to strengthen consumer rights oversight within the financial sector. You will work closely with the Office team to handle consumer inquiries, complaints, and represent the agency in public communications.

Key responsibilities

• Manage consumer presentations, complaints and inquiries.
• Conduct supervisory activities and participate in administrative procedures.
• Identify risks for consumers, supervised entities, and the financial system, proposing corrective measures.
• Implement improvement initiatives for the Office as directed by senior management.
• Coordinate project and supervisory teams, lead projects, and prepare relevant meeting materials.
• Deliver lectures, engage with media, and communicate with the public in collaboration with the Office Director.
• Participate in committees, working groups, and collaborations with domestic and international institutions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and best practices, contribute to legislative drafting and amendments.
• Prepare guidelines, opinions, and statements within the Office’s scope.
• Mentor junior staff as assigned by the Office Director.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor’s and Master’s or integrated) with at least 300 ECTS credits.
• Minimum three years of relevant professional experience.
• Active knowledge of English.
• Passed the State Exam Level II (candidates without it may apply with a commitment to pass later).

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MS Office suite.
