System Engineer for Power Chargers and Drives

About the role

Jungheinrich, with over 30 years of experience in software and digital products, is looking for a Development Engineer in Electrical Engineering to join its global power electronics team. You will help design and evolve motor inverters, power chargers and e-powertrain systems (e-motors, traction batteries) and support projects from new development through serial production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop motor inverter and charging systems at system level for forklift trucks, turning product and vehicle requirements into system requirements, technical concepts, specifications and architectures.
• Drive technical system design and engineering decisions across power electronics, electrical interfaces, control functions, communication and integration into electric industrial trucks.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary development and keep hardware, software, mechanics, testing, functional safety and vehicle integration aligned from concept through validation.
• Lead small to medium-sized development projects, owning technical scope, planning, milestones, risks and delivery.
• Manage collaboration with internal departments, suppliers and external partners, and support industrialization and series production.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in system engineering and requirements engineering, preferably in electronic control systems, embedded systems or power electronics.
• Experience in interdisciplinary product development and supplier management.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
